What we never want

HourSign is not built to hold client information. There is no field for a client name, and you should never type a client name, initials, case number or session note anywhere in it. If you do, delete it. If you email it to us, we will delete it.

What we store

Your name, email address and time zone, from the sign-in provider.
Your tracks: state, profession, start date and the rule set version in use.
Your entries: date of service, minutes, category, site and supervisor. No client details.
Your sites and the supervisors you invited, including their name and license details.
Signed records: the frozen content, its SHA-256 fingerprint, who signed, and the date and time in UTC.
A log of security-relevant actions, such as signing in, inviting and signing.

Who can see it

You see your own records. A supervisor sees only the reporting periods you sent to them, and what those periods contain. Nobody else sees your hours. We do not sell data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Emails

Emails from HourSign carry a link and nothing else. They never contain your hour details or your totals.

Getting your data out

Exporting your own hours as CSV, and reading or downloading anything signed, is free on every plan, including after a trial ends or you cancel.

Deleting your account

You can ask us to delete your account and we will remove your personal data. Signed records are a special case: they are locked by design and cannot be edited. Deletion removes them rather than changing them, so export anything you need first.

Cookies on this site

This marketing site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. It is plain static pages.
