HourSign and Excel
Most people log supervised hours in a spreadsheet, and for a lot of them that is the right answer. Here is what a spreadsheet does well and where it runs out.

Who should pick which.
Said plainly, before the table. Including when you should not switch.
Pick Excel if
- You want something free that you already know how to use.
- You want total control of the columns and no account anywhere.
- Your board only ever asks for a total and one signature at the end.
Pick HourSign if
- You need a supervisor's signature on a record that cannot quietly change afterwards.
- Your state voids hours for a missed supervision month or week, and you want to see that coming.
- You want the board's own form laid out for you instead of retyping numbers into a PDF.
- You are worried about the day a supervisor will not sign, or leaves.
Side by side.

What we will not say.
We will not tell you another product is bad. We have not used them for a year and you would be right not to believe us if we did. Where a company does not state something publicly, this page says "not stated" rather than turning silence into a weakness.
HourSign's own limits are on the states page and in the "what HourSign does not do" list on each state. Read those before you decide.
